Behaviour This is the smallest monkey in the world and curled up can fit into a human hand. The are however long lived and can reach 12 years of age. In the wild pygmy marmosets chew bark to get tree gum as part of their diet. Their lower teeth are especially adapted for this purpose.
Diet Gum, flower nectar, fruits and small creatures such as grubs and spiders.
