We are set in an acre of peaceful woodland gardens on the Ness headland, just above the beautiful fishing village of Shaldon. The Zoo offers a tranquil setting and benefits from ample council run parking on our doorstep.

How to find us us

By car: We are situated on the A379 Torquay to Teignmouth Road.

By bus: Stop at Ness Drive.

By train: The nearest Station is Teignmouth, then take the river ferry or local bus to the zoo.

Make the most of your visit by planning your day. You can also have free re-entry on the same day, so after exploring our local area and having some lunch, you can come back and see the Margay and Civets' feeding times! Visitors can take advantage of the stunning coastal walks, RSPB reserve, golf courses, secluded beaches and award-winning restaurants that are all on our doorstep. You could also make more of your visit by booking one of our fantastic encounters such as Meet the meerkats or a Lemur liaison.

It’s called a Gift Aid visit and it makes a massive difference to charities like Shaldon Wildlife Trust.

Visitors with disabilities

The majority of the Trust is accessible by wheelchair but we are set on a steep slope. As a result, we offer a reduced rate for those visitors with additional needs.
